ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility at The Way Islam
Our goal is a calm, understandable and operable learning experience that welcomes people using different devices and assistive technologies.
Our Commitment
The Way Islam is intended to be usable by people with different visual, hearing, motor and cognitive needs. Accessibility is treated as part of editorial quality and product development, not as a decorative claim or a one time task.
Standards and Current Status
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our development target. This statement does not claim that every page has been independently audited or that the entire website is fully conformant. Testing and improvement are ongoing as content and features are added.
Measures in the Website
- Semantic page landmarks and logical heading structures.
- A skip link that moves keyboard users to the main content.
- Visible keyboard focus and operable navigation controls.
- Text labels for controls, form feedback and project status.
- Color contrast and information that is not conveyed by color alone.
- Responsive layouts designed to reflow without horizontal scrolling.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and hidden treatment for decorative graphics.
- Server rendered primary content and reduced reliance on client side scripts.
Qur’an, Audio and Video
Arabic Qur’an text, translation and editorial explanation should remain distinguishable in structure and presentation. Audio controls will require keyboard access and clear labels before audio is published. Videos should include accurate captions and meaningful transcripts before they are treated as complete educational resources.
Known Limitations
Some content destinations are still being developed and are intentionally not linked until meaningful material exists. Third party websites reached through external links are outside our technical control. Future documents, media players, translations or embedded services may introduce accessibility issues that require separate review.
Using This Website
The website is designed to support browser zoom, text resizing, keyboard navigation and common screen reader use. You can use the “Skip to content” link at the beginning of each page to bypass repeated navigation. Browser and operating system settings may also be used for contrast, motion and text preferences.
Report an Accessibility Problem
Email [email protected] with the page URL, a description of the problem, the browser or assistive technology used if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format you need. You may also call +90 545 552 75 35.
We will review practical barriers and aim to provide the requested information in an accessible alternative where reasonably possible. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical information.
Review Process
Accessibility checks are included in component review, responsive testing and keyboard testing. Automated checks can identify only some barriers, so manual inspection and feedback from people using assistive technology remain important. This statement will be revised when material limitations or test results change.
